What is my story?
Veronica Hanson, LPC
My legal name is Sabrina Hanson, but I go by Veronica. I am a licensed mental health counselor in TX, FL, and OH. I specialize in addiction recovery, anxiety, functional nutrition, relationship issues, and trauma. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Science in Social Work from Florida State University and my Master's Degree of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville, OH. I have been practicing since 2016. I am trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Eye Movement and Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Instinctual Trauma Response Model (ITR), and a slew of other treatment approaches. In 2021 I was trained in functional nutrition in Full Body Systems with Andrea Nakayama at Functional Nutrition Alliance. I have received some of the best Christian formation a person could receive from various places such as Lifestyle Christianity University, Franciscan University, and from being in a Catholic religious order for 8 1/2 years. Currently I am pursuing special training in spiritual direction. Thus, I provide a holistic approach to counseling bringing in Christian values, various counseling approaches, and functional nutrition guidance as appropriate.
Mission Statement
My mission is to be another Veronica in the world who wipes the face of Jesus in all those who suffer. Veronica means true image. I aim to be the image of Christ to others as I counsel. I bring a heart of gold and strive to bring out the good in each person I encounter.
